Chicken Caesar Wraps

This Chicken Caesar Wrap is so simple, and so good! I don’t know if you can tell in this lame camera-phone picture (my real camera’s new battery charger is on order!) but I was so excited about this one that I actually took a bite of it before I remembered I had to take a photo of it! lol. So I guess that’s a good sign.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large whole-wheat tortilla
  • 3 oz. cooked chicken
  • 1 cup green lettuce
  • 1/2 Roma tomato
  • 1 1/2 oz. low-fat Mozzarella cheese (or 1 oz. other white cheese)
  • 2 Tb. low-fat Caesar dressing (see my P.P.S.)
  • Pepper to taste

Cut chicken into strips, and shred lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Cut cheese and tomato into long pieces. Lay tortilla flat on plate, spread 1 Tb. of dressing on it, then layer lettuce, chicken, tomato, and Mozzarella. Drizzle with remaining Tb. of dressing. Roll into a wrap.

P90x Nutrition Plan Portions:

1 Chicken Caesar Wrap is 1 carb, 1 protein, 1 vegetable, 1 dairy, and 1 condiment.

P.S. I couldn’t find large wrap-worthy whole-wheat tortillas at the store, so I had to split my ingredients into two smaller wraps, as pictured.

P.P.S. You’ll notice I said “low-fat” Caesar dressing, while the P90x plan calls for fat-free. I spent a good 20 min staring at my supermarket’s salad dressing isle yesterday, and couldn’t find any no-fat Caesar dressing. I did find a fat free “Ceasar-Italian” but then one look at the back said that high fructose corn syrup was the second ingredient! yick! So I decided that I would go with a low-fat one that was less syrup-heavy. Do you have good recommendations for fat-free dressings that don’t have all kinds of crazy ingredients in them? Please comment and list them below – P90x folk are balancing enough concerns without worrying about their salad dressing!

See you Monday!! – CJ =)

Good morning, Newman’s own makes a couple low cal dressings. My favorite is sesame ginger dressing.

The salad dressing isle always overwhelms me too.

Thank you for your site – Lots of wonderful recipes and the Nutrition plan download is AWESOME!

Thanks for the suggestion on the Newman’s Own, Tamiko! Sesame ginger dressing sounds like it would go awesome over chicken in some form…you might just see that appearing on here some time soon. ;-)

I am so glad that the P90x nutrition plan download is helping you! I have no way to know how many people are actually downloading and using it, so I’m so glad to hear that it is helpful to other people than myself! Keep pressing play, and let me know if you come up with any good P90x recipes yourself that I should try!

    CJ,
Thank you SO much for all of the helpful information on your site. My husband and I are committing to P90X and have been laying the groundwork for the last few days. (Our official start date is Monday!) I was completely overwhelmed about planning meals and was about to throw the nutrition part of it out the window. Until I ran across your site! I’ve downloaded the journal, copy-pasted the ‘day in the life’ meal plan example and am drooling over the recipes. I’m feeling more confident about staying on program with all of the helpful information on your site. THANK YOU!
